BIKE TRIP ALONG THE AHR VALLEY
2012 October Ahr - Blankenheim

The leaves are turning color, the air is crisp, and the bikes are ready! Along the Ahr valley up to Blankenheim. We had driven down the Ahr from Blankenheim the previous year as part of a 3 day bed and breakfast trip. This time we left from Bad Godesburg and headed up over our local hills down into the Ahr valley and then up the Ahr river to Blankenheim. We forgot how far it was, had 35 kilometers to go, it was getting darker, Ann got a soft back tire from a slow leak, but we finally arrived with a bit of daylight left. Wow, did we inhale the pasta dinner! Change of tube later that night and we were ready for the next day!
